SKYDIVE TV™ TO COVER THE USPA NATIONAL SKYDIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS THROUGH 2016
June 18, 2014, Las Vegas, NV – Skydive TV™, LLC, www.skydive-tv.com, the Online & Mobile TV Channel for the sport of skydiving has secured an agreement with the U.S. Parachute Association to cover the USPA National Skydiving Championships for the next 3 years – 2014, 2015 & 2016. This includes the coverage and broadcast of the Canopy Piloting Nationals, as well as Formation Skydiving, Style & Accuracy, Vertical Formation Skydiving & Artistic Events. The coverage and broadcast will start with the 2014 USPA National Skydiving Championships held at Skydive Chicago, IL – Sep 10-23, 2014.
This is the 3rd collaboration between USPA and Skydive TV™ on the coverage and broadcast of the USPA National Skydiving Championships.
The program schedule for the coverage and broadcast will be finalized by August 30th 2014 and it will include LIVE and recorded coverage of the event delivered via Skydive TV™’s website www.skydive-tv.com, Apple TV, smart phones, mobile devices and podcasts. A mobile App for iOS & Android is in the works. Skydive TV™ plans to build a production studio located at the host DZ for the duration of the event and to create 2 or 3 blocks of 1.5 hours of LIVE coverage directly as the event is happening. The program specifically designed by our seasoned Program Director Iva Vassilev for the USPA National Skydiving Championships will include a variety of elements, guests & excitement to bring the competition into people’s homes and big screen TVs.
Skydive TV™ previously covered and broadcasted the 2010 and 2011 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The 2010 broadcast reached close to 1.2M viewers from 109 countries. The 2011 broadcasts reached a total of 9.5M viewers from 147 countries around the globe. We hope that starting with the 2014 coverage and broadcasts to reach a wider viewing audience and be able to bring the sport of skydiving even closer to the reach of many enthusiasts and hopefully be able to increase the awareness of the general public toward our sport and their desire to participate in it.
